Daniel Graham, 43, of Hedingman, Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina, United States has been arrested. On the evening of October 31, 2023, children went trick-or-treating at his residence.
Instead of giving the children candies, Graham allegedly smacked a basket of candy out of one of the children’s hand and onto the ground. He is also accused of pointing a gun at the children.
It is unclear whether or not the children were accompanied by an adult when they were trick-or-treating. At around 7:15 p.m., Raleigh Police Department officers responded to the scene.
The officers located Graham and placed him in custody. He was charged with assault on a child under 12 and assault by pointing a gun.
Raleigh is the 41st most populous city in the U.S. It is the seat of Wake County and the capital city of North Carolina.
Mary-Ann Baldwin, 66, is the incumbent and 62nd mayor of Raleigh. Both Major League Baseball player Chris Archer, 35, and former professional footballer Nazmi Albadawi, 32, were born in the city.
